Scrappy Rainbow Saturday--Week 47, 2020

My first project for the 2020 Rainbow Scrap Challenge is now a completed quilt top! This is my Scrappy Bear Paws quilt.

Scrappy Bear Paws, 47.75" x 68.75"

Finishing this quilt top was definitely one of those cases of the quilt letting me know what needed to be done. I was determined to finish this quilt with fabrics from my stash. Many different fabrics were auditioned for the sashing and setting triangles, and I shared some of those options in last week's post. Then I tried the light blue fabrics, and it brought a huge sigh of relief--there's the right answer!

That's one rainbow project assembled, with one more still to be done before the end of the year. I'm also playing with ideas for next year's RSC projects.

I am linking up with the Rainbow Scrap Challenge on Saturday and with Oh Scrap! at Quilting is more fun than Housework on SundayI hope you are all staying well and getting lots of quilting done!

  2. I love the blue for these blocks! It ties everything together so well and has such a nice frosty feel. It makes me think of paw prints on fresh snow. Congratulations on getting everything together. Finishing a top is the perfect excuse to shop for new project ideas. Enjoy!
