Stitching and DeStashing--Week 51, 2020

The end of the year is drawing near, and my stash totals show a small change in usage for the past week, but no new fabric was added. I used 3/8 yard for this cute little Santa wallhanging. I made it for my husband who collects all things Santa.

Santa Ho Ho Ho, finished size 10" x 19"

I also used 3/4 yard for the first two sets of Glorified 9-Patch blocks. These were started after I completed my previous hand-stitching project, and they will carry through next year as part of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. These are all of the blocks finished so far, and a set of black/grey blocks has been prepped.

Glorified 9-Patch, 6" blocks

Kate's 15 Minutes to Stitch challenge at Life in Pieces has us tracking how many days each week we get in at least 15 minutes of quilting time. I spent time stitching every day last week, and it was split between the projects shown above, finishing a couple of Christmas gifts, and working on the next step of Bonnie Hunter's Grassy Creek mystery.

15 Minute Challenge:
12/13 - 12/19              7 of 7 days
2020 Total            345 of 354 days

Happy quilting and stay safe everyone!

  10. I really like your newest RSC blocks. I have a client quilt to work on using that same block. I am a bit stumped on how to quilt it. Thanks for linking up with Oh Scrap. Love the Santa wallhanging too!

  11. LOVE your husband's Santa wall hanging you wonderfully stitched. It looks fabulous. Your glorified nine patches look wonderful, too. Those corners look a bit tricky...are they difficult to do?
