Stitching and DeStashing--Week 28, 2020

It was a busy week for quilting, but there is very little to list for the stash report. I guess that is because my main project was assembling my Scrap Snap quilt top, which I shared in THIS POST. All of the fabrics used in this quilt top were counted when each set of blocks was completed, so there is nothing to report as used now. My only usage for the week was 1 yard for four more fabric napkins. We are trying to cut down on the number of paper napkins that we use. This fabric is an oldie that I was happy to use up.

2020 STASH TOTALS
Used last week:                                1.0 yards
Used year to date:                     121.125 yards
Added last week:                              0.0 yards
Added year to date:                       34.75 yards
Net used year to date              86.375 yards

Kate's 15 Minutes to Stitch challenge at Life in Pieces has us tracking how many days each week we get in at least 15 minutes of quilting time. I had no trouble getting in more than 15 minutes every day last week.

15 Minute Challenge:
7/5 - 7/11                 7 of 7 days
2020 Total         184 of 193 days

Happy quilting and stay safe everyone!

  1. Love your napkins. I'll be making a set each month for DD this coming year.

  2. Fabulous idea! My dad was reminding me that my maternal Grandfather used only cloth napkins! Would you share what size your's are? Perhaps I should follow your example to honor my Grandfather's memory! Thank you for sharing!

  3. A great way to use up some older, but pretty fabrics. Even if it's just one yard, all those one yards can really add up by the end of the year.
