Our color for September at the Rainbow Scrap Challenge is orange. This is a color that I almost never wear, but I love orange in quilts. There is such a wide range of colors, from pale peach to dark rust, and they all add such a lovely warmth to a quilt.
This week I have been concentrating on brighter orange scraps for my Rainbow LeMoyne Stars. I have six 6" blocks finished, two more to make, plus one 12" block to put together yet.
Check out this week's Rainbow Scrap Challenge posts--lots of amazingly beautiful rainbow projects to inspire you!

Beautiful bright oranges. I have been surprised at the range of my oranges lately. Each color has so many shades to enjoy.
ReplyDeleteOh those LeMoyne stars are going to make a gorgeous quilt.
ReplyDeleteThis first day of a new color is so much fun! I'm so impressed with how your points all meet so precisely in the center.
ReplyDeleteOrange is so dramatic against the black and white backgrounds.
ReplyDeleteAgree - orange is awesome in quilts, but NOT in my closet!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see your range of orange. I plan on using some rust in my wonky star and I hope it looks as good as your stars. This is going to be a spectacular quilt.
ReplyDeleteLovely oranges and stars, great background fabric.
ReplyDeleteHey I'm even able to wear coral, which is kind of orange. That's a big change for me. I think your stars are starsome. LeeAnna
ReplyDeleteGreat start on your orange stars - I'm drooling over your fabrics!
ReplyDeleteI like that you have used two different backgrounds for these lovely LeMoyne stars.

ReplyDeleteLove your all your orange fabrics and stars. Looking forward to seeing all of them together in a quilt.
