Stitching and DeStashing--Week 39, 2021

My stash report includes a small change, 1 yard used for the week and no new additions. My usage was 3/8 yard for the binding on the Volcano 9Patch quilt (see it HERE) plus 5/8 yard for 30 orange bowtie blocks. I've been having fun playing with other layouts of those blocks (you can see a different layout in yesterday's post.)

2021 STASH TOTALS
Used last week:                            1.00 yards
Used year to date:                   147.125 yards
Added last week:                            0.0 yards
Added year to date:                   101.50 yards
Net used year to date            45.625 yards

Kate's 15 Minutes to Stitch Challenge at Life in Pieces has us tracking how many days each week we get in at least 15 minutes of quilting stitching time. I had one day last week with no quilting, but I did spend some time working on garment sewing. After rereading Kate's original post about the 15 Minutes to Stitch Challenge, I realized that any type of stitching (sewing, knitting, embroidery, etc.) counts, not just quilting projects. I updated my totals and am back at having missed only two days all year.

15 Minute Challenge for 2021:
9/19 - 9/25               7 of 7 days
2021 Total          266 of 268 days

Happy quilting everyone!

  4. Oooh, that's a fun layout for the bow ties block. I don't think I've seen that one before. Congrats on all the stitching time this week/year. You always do so well at finding time to fit in a bit of progress.

  5. I enjoy seeing the bow ties in different layouts. My stitching time is almost all cross-stitch - it has grabbed me more than quilting for the past few years, but I still enjoy both!
