Stitching and Stashing--Week 21, 2021

The last day of my recent trip to Wisconsin included a stop at one more quilt shop. My main purchase was 3 yards of this spotted pastel batik. This looks like a good choice as the background for a future rainbow quilt.

There were also a couple of other pieces purchased, for a total of 4 yards added to the stash. My usage for the week was 3/4 yard on the Scrap Magnet blocks that I shared in yesterday's post.

2021 STASH TOTALS
Used last week:                                .75 yards
Used year to date:                       98.625 yards
Added last week:                              4.0 yards
Added year to date:                         48.0 yards
Net used year to date              50.625 yards

Kate's 15 Minutes to Stitch challenge at Life in Pieces has us tracking how many days each week we get in at least 15 minutes of quilting time. It's hard to believe that I went more than a week without touching a sewing machine or rotary cutter! I'm now getting back into the routine of regular quilting time every day.

15 Minute Challenge for 2021:
5/16 - 5/22                7 of 7 days
2021 Total           141 of 142 days

Happy quilting everyone!

  3. Definitely a great background for a rainbow challenge quilt. Almost halfway through the year and your stitching metrics are all really good. Congrats on the progress this year.
