It has been a busy week with travel and errands, but I managed to find some time over the last two days to make my two red Scrap Magnet blocks for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge.
The contrast works better in my bright red block. I especially love the fabric with the black sewing machines on it.
The month of May has flown by, and it's hard to believe that we are nearing the end of the month. I need to go back through my projects for the RSC and see what else needs to get done in the next week and a half.
Be sure to check out all of the wonderful scrappy projects at the Rainbow Scrap Challenge every Saturday and at Oh Scrap! over at Quilting is more fun than Housework on Sunday.

Those are such great blocks! I like the contrast of your darker red block with your lighter red block. It has been a busy month - hard to believe it will be June soon!
ReplyDeleteNice job on finding time to make these two beautiful blocks for the RSC, Julie!!
ReplyDeleteYou do have an eye for coordinating fabrics in blocks as shown by these lovely ones. It is not that easy as I've struggled often with making those choices. Not all reds play well together which goes for all the colours I guess. Meanwhile, Julie hope you are having a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThis block design is exquisite and perfectly pieced, as usual ! lol
ReplyDeleteI really like your reds. Neat looking block! YUP by the time the 15th of each month arrives I feel the rest of the month fly by!!! Hugs
ReplyDeleteIt's certainly a beautiful block! I'd have a difficult time finding enough reds!
ReplyDeleteNice blocks! You have such a good collection of red fabrics. Love the tiny sewing machines!
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are gorgeous!
