Design Wall Monday 11/10/14
I am still struggling with the border blocks for the Tell It to the Stars mystery quilt. I finished up twelve blocks on Saturday, but it took lots of un-sewing and trimming to get them to finish at the right size. If you zoom in on the photo, you will see straight pins in several blocks. The pins are marking where my blocks are a little small, but I should be able to make up for that when I join the blocks together.
I am linking up to Design Wall Monday at Patchwork Times where you can see all sorts of amazing quilting inspiration!

Your border is going to be gorgeous! It's so frustrating when things don't go together as planned.ReplyDelete
As long as the short is within the 1/4 inch seam allowance, you should be able to fudge them just fine! Looking forward to seeing how this project turns out!ReplyDelete
Hang in there, it's going to be fabulous!ReplyDelete
I would love to know why one little part of a block screws up where as the rest of the block is perfect. I feel your pain and I've definitely been there. But Sylvia is correct that you probably won't have an issue when you put the blocks together. The pin marking is brilliant as you can take special care with those blocks. The colors are fantastic.ReplyDelete
Just remember that the galloping. Horse rule applies. The border blocks look great . Only you know where all the wobbles are.ReplyDelete
Too bad they are such a pain to make because they sure make a very interesting border. hang in there, you'll be so proud of yourself when they are all done.ReplyDelete
