Today I stopped at Joann Fabrics to return an ironing board cover that I had picked up a few weeks ago, and ended up buying still more fabric. I got 3 yards of Kona white, probably to be used for next year's Rainbow Scrap Challenge project. The two very bright prints are planned to become part of a baby quilt for a co-worker. I love the color palette of the top fabric and couldn't resist buying a little of that too.
On the used side, I finished another set of placemats, made from this beautiful Laurel Burch mermaid stripe and coordinates. You can see the finished placemats tomorrow. 2.75 yards total used.
Used this week: 2.75 yards
Used year to date: 88.25 yards
Added this week: 6.75 yards
Added year to date: 86.25 yards
Net year to date: 2 yards used
My numbers are still teetering on the side of more fabric used than added. That will change when my order arrives next week--time to get sewing and maintain the balance.
Check out more stash reports at Patchwork Times.

I love the mermaid fabric! And I think buying fabric is a perfect reward for enduring the colonoscopy prep. That is not fun stuff!
ReplyDeleteYour Jo-Ann's has much prettier fabric than mine! Just look at your used numbers - you have done great! The other is just stash enhancement.
ReplyDeleteJo-Ann's usually has a great price on Kona solids, our store moved and no one has been able to find the Kona since! I especially like your third fabric from the top, it will make a great binding. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful new acquisitions. You'll have lots of fun with those.
