Labor Day Design Wall 9/2/13

There are a few different projects taking turns in my sewing room these days. I have been bouncing back and forth between them depending on my mood--do I want to hand sew hexies or cut and stitch for something else.

Yesterday I decided it was time to whip up some blocks for the Quilts of Valor Big Blowout Block Drive over at Alycia Quilts.  There are two different block choices to make, and I decided to go with the blue and yellow quarter log cabin blocks. I will need to cut some more 2" yellow strips if I decide to make any more of these blocks.

It's time for me to link
up to Patchwork Times for Design Wall Monday. There is an incredible variety of ideas and inspiration there to enjoy, which is the reason why Monday has become one of my favorite days of the week!

Happy Labor Day to all!
