I also pulled out some red, white & blue LeMoyne Star blocks that I had made several (maybe 10?) years ago. I think the whole group plays together very well.
The LeMoyne star blocks are from the book "LeMoyne Stars Made Easy" by Sharyn Squier Craig. The book includes 12 different star variations, and Sharyn's instructions are very clear and easy to follow.

Yes indeed they play wonderfully together. That is going to be a wonderful quilt.
ReplyDeleteI like how you've incorporated the "old" with the new. Your "new" quilt is going to look great!
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Julie. I love the star in the bottom right corner. I like how the red and blue form an alternate pattern. That's great use of strings.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful set of stars! I really like the patterns in the string ones.
ReplyDeleteI have Sharyn's book (only recently). My one, but large, quibble is that the pictures are far to small to see her demonstration. Further, she has a dark table with a dark fabric which makes all the more difficult. Hard to follow along if you were trying to approach this book for the first time. Nevertheless a wonderful resource.
