For some reason, this seems to be a period when I am more interested in hand stitching than spending time at the machine. I finished making appliqued circle blocks for my current Rainbow Scrap Challenge project a week ago, which left me wondering what to work on next. I pulled out the hexagon stars and snowflakes, a past RSC project that I started in 2013.
All of the stars and snowflakes are made, and I have started joining them together. After that I will need to finish off the background areas around the sides. There's still a long ways to go on this quilt, but it will be fun to see it come together.
I will be sharing with the following linky parties.:

Love it!
ReplyDeleteScraps are great!
ReplyDeleteI love the combination of bold and low volume. And I fully understand the need for hand stitching project from time to time. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI've been doing a lot of hand sewing recently these days too, which is pretty much out of the norm for me, although EPP is absolutely no temptation for me whatsoever. I love the look, but hate the process.
ReplyDeleteReally nice color choices, this will be stunning when it is finished - such a nice contrast!

This is lovely! I go back and forth between loving hand sewing and finding it too slow -- but the results are always so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThis looks great. Love the orange hexies.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful! I have been making scrappy hexies all year, I have about 1500 now and am trying to decide a project for them. I love your idea of stars and snowflakes
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be a beautiful quilt.
