So many red scraps, so little time! I am trying to keep up with my blocks for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. This week I finished another 3 Dancing Stars blocks, bringing me up to 9 in red. For anyone interested in this pattern, you can find it as a free download at Amy's Creative Side.
I have been trying to figure out a hand sewing project to carry with me, and decided that my many red scraps and strips would work well for hexagons. I haven't decided yet what these will become, but there are lots of pieces precut for me to baste while I ride the train to and from work.
I am linking up to the Rainbow Scrap Challenge 2013, where you can see all sorts of wonderful ways that other quilters have been using their red scraps this month.

Love your stars in red. The red hexie's are great - so nice to have something to take with you for those little bits of time.ReplyDelete
Yay for hexies - love the fussy-cut one with the zipper!ReplyDelete
Can't wait to see your Dancing Stars quilt when it's finished. It's been fun following along with you each month. Oh, those hexies look like great fun. I love the zipper. If you work on them every day on the train you'll have a big bunch of them in no time.ReplyDelete
Fabulous Julie! So great that you are using travel time for stitching!ReplyDelete
