Stash Report 4/28/13

This was a very busy week even though I wasn't working, but I did manage to find a little time for quilting. I made the last two 6" blocks for my Scrappy Sampler BOM, then joined all the 6" blocks to the quilt center. Next we will be making 8" blocks that go around all four sides of this center.

My other project was making 5 more green Dancing Stars blocks. I am making these blocks as part of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge 2013.

I have been tracking my stash usage each month for both of these projects rather than trying to figure it out at the end of the year.  I am finally getting close to 20 yards used this year!  There's a long way to go if I am going to meet my goal of using 100 yards this year.

Used this week:  1.25 yard
Used year to date:  19.25 yards

Added this week:   0 yards
Added year to date: 2.5 yards

Net year to date:  16.75 yards used

  1. Both quilts are very pretty. Nice that you have used 20 yards of fabric. I really need to get into gear and start sewing again. Keep up the great work.

  2. Very pretty projects. Your Dancing Star blocks are so dramatic with those bright greens paired with the black.

I've decided that stash goals are the hardest ones to meet. Good luck getting to 100 yards out.

  3. Your dancing stars blocks look great as does your BOM. I've always wanted to do a quilt similiar to that with the different sized blocks, Maybe someday :-)

  4. Those stars really do look to be dancing. I love sampler quilts as they give you an opportunity to make all kinds of blocks. Both of your projects look great. Sandi

  5. Your dancing stars are very pretty. Love the look of the various shades of green. You are doing great on your stash busting. I had a similar goal last year and made it, but this year it is not happening. Keep up the good work, you'll make it to 100.
