Stitching and DeStashing--Week 5, 2019

For the first time in months, probably since Thanksgiving, we had what felt like a normal week at work--no overtime, no insane deadlines, just plugging away at the next batch of projects. Several people were even able to take their long-delayed New Year's holiday during the week (we had to work on New Year's day.) It was a huge relief to have things settle back down there.

The more typical work schedule also meant I could get closer to my usual quilting routine, which generally means spending some time in the sewing room after dinner. I was able to get at least 15 minutes in every single day this week!

15 Minute Challenge:
1/27 - 2/2            7 of 7 days
2019 Total        30 of 33 days

My fabric  usage for the past week was a total of 5/8 yard for my Tiny Tuesday blocks and for the last hexies surrounding my Scrap Hexies stars. Here is a shot from the border fabric auditions. (I think I will use the circle fabric shown on the left.) No new fabric has been added to the stash yet this year!

Used last week:                         .625 yards
Used year to date:                   3.125 yards
Added last week:                         0.0 yards
Added year to date:                     0.0 yards
Net used year to date:         3.125 yards

Happy quilting everyone!

  1. Great hexies and so glad you had a normal week!

  2. Love the hexies! Looking forward to the big reveal of that project. So glad work has calmed down some and you can get back to normal.

  3. Good to hear life is settling down. I think the circle fabric is perfect as the border!

  4. I like the idea of using the fabric on the left, it looks like it is peeking through in the hexies! Glad your work week was calmer.
