Shirt Stripe Boxes, 6" blocks based on the pattern by Kaffe Fassett from his book Passionate Patchwork |
I have many more blocks in the works, some of them partially stitched together, others still waiting to be constructed. Matching up the stripes requires lots of pinning, so progress is slow, but they look so great that the time is worth it!
I am linking up to Design Wall Monday at Small Quilts and Doll Quilts, Monday Making at Love Laugh Quilt, and Moving It Forward at Em's Scrapbag. Check out all of them for tons of amazing quilting inspiration!

Those are some amazing blocks. You matched the strips so well, that plaid block in the center of the bottom row doesn't even look like it's pieced!
ReplyDeleteI really love how these blocks are setting--lovely work hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteBeautiful seam matching. I looked at each one and marveled. My favorites are the fourth block in 2nd row and the middle block in the 3rd row. Great job.
ReplyDeleteGreat work. It drives me nuts when people don't even try to align their stripes. You are amazing. I know how difficult this is.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of perfect matching, Julie! You are right, they do look great!
ReplyDeleteYour blocks look fantastic! I have some Kaffe Fassett stripes and plaids in my stash that would be great for these blocks -- if only I could manage adding another WIP right now! MUST. FINISH. SOMETHING!!! ;-)
ReplyDeletelove the way you used the stripes!
ReplyDeleteSuch a striking use of striped fabrics! I have plans to make similar blocks - hope they turn out as good as yours!
ReplyDeleteYour time invested is paying off. They match up perfectly and look great!
