Grayscale Quilt Top for Vegas

Last night I finished joining together the Grayscale blocks that I have been making for the quilt drive sponsored by the Las Vegas Modern Quilt Guild to gather quilts for the victims and first responders at the mass shooting there. I hate that there is a continuing need for quilts in situations like this one, but it helps a bit to be able to contribute something for the people affected.

50" x 70"

My quilt features fabrics in a variety of blue and green prints. I especially like the streak of bright/lime greens running through the center. The main pattern is a log cabin variation, Grayscale by Allison at Cluck Cluck Sew. The quilt top went together very quickly, and I hope to make a backing, then get them packed up and sent off to Vegas over the weekend.

If you want more information on this quilt drive, check out the Las Vegas Modern Quilt Guild page HERE. They will accept finished quilts (including other patterns), tops, blocks, backing, batting, or monetary donations.

  1. Hi Julie,
What a beautiful quilt. I especially love the hearts and the bright green lines in the center as you mentioned. Are you quilting and binding before you send it off this weekend?! If you are, you are really amazing - I couldn't get that done that quickly. Thanks for sharing the link - I will check it out. ~smile~ Roseanne

  8. I love the limited color scheme that you chose for this quilt. My group is doing a rainbow bright and a rainbow light version. I agree with you... It feels good to help when so many are hurting.
