Scrappy Rainbow Saturday--Week 25, 2019

There has been great forward progress on my Rainbow Scrap Challenge projects over the last week. I started by making one dark blue Framed Crumb Star block.

Here are all of my crumb stars in their different colors.

After that I made my blue Stairsteps blocks. I couldn't resist putting them up on the wall with the star block. If these blocks were all stitched together, this would measure 24". I'm trying to decide if that is a useful size for me, because I do love how they look together.

I am linking up with the Rainbow Scrap Challenge on Saturday and with Oh Scrap! at Quilting is more fun than Housework on SundayBe sure to check out all of the wonderful projects that everyone is sharing!

  1. That does look good together. If you used 9 of the colo rd you would have a decent size square quilt.

  2. Those look great together. Nine 24 inch blocks will give you a 72 inch square quilt, plus borders, which is not too big. It would look spectacular, too!

  3. I agree with Violet and Mari, they do look good together. I say "Go for it!"

  4. Those scrappy blocks do look really good together. Big blocks, but you'd get more quilts from them.

  11. Those blocks do look wonderful together. You can always decide what to do with them after you’ve finished the blocks in all the colors. Maybe you can divide up the colors into two quilts, depending on what you end up with. Whatever you do, you pretty much can’t go wrong with those stunning blocks!

  12. I'm with you. Absolutely love how those two blocks work together. Four 24" blocks would make a very decent size baby quilt. I am sorely tempted to start making both these blocks. REALLY like that look!
