I was hopeful that I would be able to get my stash numbers back into the black this week because there would be 6 yards counted as used for a recently-finished quilt top. Then I received a package with my winnings from a giveaway held by Sally who blogs at The Objects of Design. My prize was this jelly roll of Kaffe Fassett fabrics.
I love the prints and the color combos of Kaffe's prints, but I'm never quite sure how to use them effectively, so I don't tend to buy them very often. Thanks to Sally for giving me a chance to play around with this beautiful group of fabrics!

I am joining Kate at Life in Pieces in tracking the number of days each week that I spend at least 15 minutes quilting. Once again, I managed to find small chunks of time for quilting on most days. I keep plugging away, and eventually there will be some results worth showing.

How wonderful it is that you are keeping up with the 15 minute challenge and the 350 challenge locks as well. I wish you continued success.
ReplyDeleteLove the fabric! You could make a jelly roll quilt with it with a black triangle at every seam. I've seen it done and it really looks sharp. And then a piano key border. I'm getting ideas about a jelly roll in my sewing room.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty fabrics. I have a hard time using precuts, hopefully you can find something fun to make. Considering how much you've had to work, you've done really well at finding time to sew.
ReplyDeleteI have a very small collection of kaffe fabric waiting for inspiration. It's probably not there, because I am afraid to say his name wrong:)
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! And jump right in. And by the way, Kaffe fabrics don't count toward stash totals. They are the stash equivalent of calorie free. :)
