My design wall has a little bit of this and that on it today. To the right are my LeMoyne Stars for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge in green, our color for May. That brings my total number of LeMoyne blocks up to around 40 of the 6" blocks and 3 or 4 of the 12" blocks--maybe it's time to check out all the colors together up on the wall one of these days.
On the lower left is my newest project, bowtie blocks for a Quilt of Valor. Bowties have become my favorite leader & ender project. They are so easy to cut and to stitch, but there are all sorts of fun layouts for the blocks. Last year I made 4" bowties for the border of this quilt top, and earlier this year I made a baby quilt out of 5" bowties. This time around the blocks will finish at 6", the same size as those little LeMoyne Stars.
I am linking up to Design Wall Monday at Patchwork Times where you can see all sorts of quilting inspiration!

I LOVE your green stars! They just pop out of the picture. Your red, white and blue bowtie QOV is going to look so cool. What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteGreat Lemoyne stars. So smart to change off the background fabrics. I have to laugh at your info on bow ties. I was talking about them today on my blog too. And, I also used them as enders for my regular project and for the same reason. I guess I'll find some more neutrals and make some more so that the blocks I have left will be used.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE bow tie blocks and love what you have done with yours!!!
ReplyDeleteLove those bright green stars. Looking forward to seeing all those bright stars up on the wall together.
