I was especially excited to make this month's block in light/bright blues because it meant I got to use one of the best background fabrics ever!
This paper airplanes print was part of a line called "On the Lighter Side" from Robert Kaufman Fabrics. I've been waiting eagerly for the chance to use this piece. There are more fun fabrics still to come from that group!
I was able to clear off one of my design walls and put up all four Bear Paw blocks that have been made so far this year. I wish the background on the green block looked more white than limey green, but other than that, I'm very happy with how these are looking.

You always have the best blocks! And that paper airplane fabric (out of stock everywhere - I had to check) is totally awesome.
ReplyDeleteThat paper airplane fabric is delightful! I love your scrappy bear paw blocks!
ReplyDeleteThis is going to look very neat! I have been haunting RSC for two years now and have finally started a little project just to see if that works. So far, so good.
ReplyDeleteOh, goodness...that is a perfect background, indeed! I made a scrappy Bear Paw long time ago for my youngest son. It was one of my fav quilts with big paw print sashing.
ReplyDeleteWith each passing month, I love your scrappy Bear Paws more and more!!
ReplyDeleteLove that paper airplane fabric, it is pretty fun. Your RSC blocks look great. I started sewing along with RSC the year before you did. Some of my most favorite quilts were made by following along with the changing colors.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, scrappy RSC blocks! What could be better?
ReplyDeleteLove them! The colors are just perfect together.
ReplyDeleteYour blocks look great. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
ReplyDeleteLove your bear paw blocks. A red one with a tinge of pale pink may make mr green blend in better. Love them all
