My recent attempts to use up the purples from a drawer of 3" strips led to four Scrappy Trips blocks, which I showed last week. There were still plenty of leftover purple bits and pieces from those strips, so I stitched them up into 4-patch blocks. Thank goodness for those cheery 30's prints, or this would be a very somber collection!
While digging through some of the boxes of leftover bits and pieces from past projects, I discovered a wonderful stash of purple scraps. Most of these were left from a pineapple quilt I made in 2010. I hope to find some time today and tomorrow to piece them together.
Be sure to check out all of the wonderful scrappy projects at the Rainbow Scrap Challenge every Saturday and at Oh Scrap! over at Quilting is more fun than Housework on Sunday.

Those light purples do add a nice light to the blocks. Variety is the key to everything.
