Last weekend I spent three nights in Chicago for work. I optimistically took my Singer Featherweight along, plus a couple of quilt projects, thinking I could get lots of sewing done in the evenings after working during the days. It was harder than I expected to work up any energy for quilting at night, but I did manage to make a few 3D Folded Box blocks for my current Rainbow Scrap Challenge project. One of our color options for August was shades of grey.

That is such a neat block, and very pretty in the grays!
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are quite elegant.
ReplyDeleteI love your folded box blocks. They are going to make a spectacular quilt!
ReplyDeleteYour Folded Box blocks look GREAT in Gray!! Glad you found some time to sew, along with the necessary energy to accomplish the task.
ReplyDeleteIn this color scheme I just noticed that the five blocks form a cross, very exciting. It's fun to find these secondary patterns, especially accidental ones.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had energy to stitch ... Work tends to drain away so many brain cells along with energies/mojo ...
ReplyDeleteHopefully work will settle down and allow some nice sewing time soon. You did a great job with your blocks.
ReplyDeleteLove what you did with the grays!
ReplyDeleteTraveling with a sewing machine is always a great plan. Glad you got some beautiful blocks done on the trip.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blocks. I always feel like I work harder when I'm on a business trip than when I put in a day at the office. It's hard to want to do much then, so you did really well.
