The current set of blocks on my design wall began life back in the summer of 2013. I had made a pile of 6" nine-patch blocks using yellows and golds with blue centers. 20 of those original blocks were joined together into this cute little quilt top (which is still waiting to be quilted.)

Love your nine patch quilt top--the colors are so fresh looking--beautiful. and now the stars in the similar colors--lovely work hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting to see how different the nine patches look in the two quilts. I like them both. I like them both. Thanks for linking up with Design Wall Mondays, Judy
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful project from the leftovers!! Both are lovely quilts.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to turn those nine patches into Sister's Choice blocks! I did that years ago with some little 3 inch nine patches. It's fun to see your two different quilts that resulted from those nine patches.
ReplyDeleteWow, you'd never know those were left overs! Any of those options up on the design wall would work well. Looking forward to seeing this one as a finished flimsy.
