The instructions for part 4 of Bonnie Hunter's 2017 mystery "On Ringo Lake" were posted on Friday. Our unit for the week is a square with triangles on two sides--I don't know if there is an official name for these units, but we are making lots of them. I have 40 of them done and many more started. Bonnie used brown and aqua for hers, but my colors are black and red.
As usual, I couldn't resist playing with a combination of parts from all four weeks. I don't imagine this is anywhere close to Bonnie's design, but it's fun to try out some possibilities!
What a fun design! Your colors are gorgeous. I love all of the grays with the blacks and reds. Hopefully Clue 4 will be started soon for me. :)
ReplyDeleteI love seeing people's ideas and different layouts for these blocks. Always makes me want to make more than one quilt so I can use all the layouts! Your quilt is going to be so beautiful with the grays, blacks and reds.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun layout. I didn't find any good combinations of the blocks we've done by now. But I made a little town with small houses.

ReplyDeleteI love your color choice! And I also find fun in manipulating the units and imagining layouts. I now have what I call 2 Bonnie Hunter "spin-offs": quilts I made based on previous mystery units, but with a completely different layout than hers.

ReplyDeleteYour block looks great, but boy that would be a lot of assembly for each block if that's Bonnie's plan. Love your color palette. Sounds like you've been finding time to stitch even if it is not on quilt blocks. Have a very happy holiday.
