My entry for this year is the Star Cluster baby quilt that I made for our great-niece Flora.

My inspiration was the quilt Interlocking Stars, shared in 2015 by Sarah at Confessions of a Fabric Addict. Her starting point was a pattern called Star Cluster by Judy Martin. Judy's pattern is for a block that finishes at either 12" or 16". Sarah super-sized the pattern into a 64" single-block quilt. I went half-way in between the two--the center of my quilt finished at 32", and the border brought the finished size up to 37.5" square.

I would be hard pressed to say which baby is the lucky one, Julie. I think I love them ALL!!!
ReplyDeleteThese quilts are gorgeous. They look easy enough to make.
ReplyDeleteHi Julie,
ReplyDeleteOh how I love these baby quilts! Baby quilt mixed with stars and pretty colors is a win, win, WIN in my block. I'll bet the moms-to-be and babies just loved them, and they feel all the love you stitched into each square. ~smile~ Roseanne
All are beautiful. Stars are my favorite.
ReplyDeleteJulie, I love how you personalized your interlocking stars on each baby quilt! They are all beautiful.
ReplyDeleteA great go to pattern for a baby quilt. Mixing up the star centers makes for so many fun options. My favorite of the three is the red and black musical stars version.
ReplyDeleteSuch a perfect use of stars, it's stunning
