Multicolor Progress

My multicolor/watercolor quilt blocks have reached the point where it is impossible for me to get a photo of all of them together on the design wall. Taking photos of my design wall involves standing in the bathroom and shooting through the doorway and across the hall. Not ideal, but it's better than nothing.

This week's additions are the twelve dark blocks that run down the right side and across the bottom in the photo. I need to make twelve more of those blocks, then figure out how to make the setting triangles. There is an end in sight!

 The next quilt isn't scrappy, but it sure is multi-colored. It's log cabin blocks made with just two fabrics in a barn raising setting. I started this quilt in 1998, took some of it apart this month, and finally finished the top a couple days ago. You can read more about it in THIS POST.

    I love the look of your quilt top! The dark round is really adding so much depth to it!

    Oh my, your multi strip block quilt is to die for! To think you were going to give up on it.....(!!) I can’t wait to see that one completed. And way to go - working to finish up an old UFO. The Fiesta Log Cabin is delightful!!

    You're really making progress on your older WIPs! That is such a good feeling. I love the progression of light and color on the watercolor quilt!

    I've got a giant ruler that can help with the setting triangle measurements. Just let me know how big your blocks are and I can tell you what you need to cut. BTW... I am SEW happy that you didn't scrap this project (because I absolutely LOVE it!!!)

    The shading effect really looks good now. Good thing you have a bathroom to shoot from. The Fiesta log cabin is amazing. I've never seen anything like it. Really pretty.
