There hasn't been much progress on my purple quilt blocks for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge this week. I've made very little progress on my hexies, but hope to get more done next week. I did manage to finish two more purple LeMoyne Star blocks.
One reason that I haven't had much time to quilt is because of a special costume project that I am doing. I am making 12 fancy brocade vests with collars. Last night I worked on these two, which just happen to both be purple (although the colors look a little more blue in my photo.)
Check out the Rainbow Scrap Challenge posts every Saturday to see how others are using up their scraps. So many beautiful projects!

Nice variety in your Lemoyne stars. The costume vest fabric is lovely.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh... sewing! It sure does cut into our quilting time doesn't it? Getting two LeMoyne Stars done though is a nice accomplishment!
ReplyDeleteStunning purple stars - it's the black that makes them stunning and not just pretty.
ReplyDeleteYour stars are very pretty.
ReplyDeleteLovely stars and the vests look pretty impressive too! 12 is a lot of vests to make ~ lol!
ReplyDeleteSewing clothes never takes as long as I think it will, but, oh, how I procrastinate!
ReplyDeleteThe brocade vests look wonderful! I love purple and I love vests - so it's all eye candy for me!
ReplyDeleteOf all the rainbow quilts being made I must say your Lemoyne Stars are my favorite! I used to make clothing but it has been so many years. I do remember that I did enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI love Lemoyne stars, but have never made them. Yours are lovely.
