The blocks measure 5" finished, and I will probably do a 6 x 8 block setting, plus a 2-1/2 or 3" border. My favorite layout right now is the barn-raising type setting (upper right.) That may change once the rest of the blocks are finished. I need to get this quilt done soon--baby's due date is March 11th!

What a great baby quilt this will be!! All of the settings are wonderful. The bright colors just pop. Lucky baby!!
ReplyDeleteI like all the settings but am also partial to the one top right. what a wonderful gift it will be.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to have all the different setting. That first one if really awesome.
ReplyDeleteThey're all wonderful, I love the bright fabrics! Bottom right is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteWho would have thought Bow tie blocks could be so gorgeous!! I love the 1st and 4th layout! This is gonna be one great baby quilt. Be sure to post the finished quilt!
ReplyDeleteI do like the barn raising layout. The colors really work well in it. But, honestly, I don't think I've ever seen a layout like your first one. I used to make bow tie blocks as my never ending leader/ender project. I've made way too many quilts with bow ties in them. But #1 really speaks to me for it uniqueness.
ReplyDeleteGreat blocks.I like the barn raising layout too. Fabulous fabrics for a baby quilt xx
ReplyDeleteSuch happy baby colors. I like the last one the best, but they are all adorable.
ReplyDeletegorgeous! I like the last one too, but the barn raising is great and perfect for a baby quilt
ReplyDeleteLove it, so fun to twist and turn them and see all different results! Hard to pick a favorite!
ReplyDeleteLove the bright colors in this one. I like the barn raising layout and the one below it. Any of the settings are going to be gorgeous with those blocks.
ReplyDeleteI love your bow ties. My first thought was I liked the top right and bottom right ones. But on second thought the first one is unique and original looking. Any of them will delight some lucky child no matter which you choose.
ReplyDeleteHow fun with all the layouts! I like the upper right on best. Beautiful colors!
ReplyDeleteI really like the block arrangement in the upper left location. Will be interesting to see the final finish.
ReplyDeleteThe top left is my favorite. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! top left is my favorite
ReplyDeleteI'm really liking the layout in the first one - pinned it even.
ReplyDeleteLove all the different layouts you have shown us--but I am with you I like the upper right one the best!
ReplyDeleteWould love for you to stop by tomorrow and link this up to Fabric Frenzy Friday!

came to visit to see your blocks for the 350 block challenge, but had to follow so I can see what you do with the bowties. I like the upper left setting, it is the most unique I've seen. Are they 3D blocks ?
ReplyDeleteNo, they aren't 3D, just regular bowties. I'm still deciding which setting to use. I might make 2 baby quilts and use a different setting for each.
DeleteI love the first layout. I've never seen how ties in that layout and it looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteIf you focus on the white in the top left, they look like Pacman
ReplyDeleteI like the top left and bottom right.
ReplyDeleteWhat great layout ideas! I REALLY love the first one - it's so unique!
