My Dancing Stars for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge are accumulating steadily. When I was working on the orange stars back in March, I kept pulling out fabrics that were somewhere between yellow and orange or a combo of the two colors. I didn't use those fabrics back then, but this month I have decided to include yellow-orange in my current group of stars. Nine done so far this month. I have lots more yellow fabric scraps. I will keep going with these stars for a bit, then maybe I will make something else later in the month.
I am linking up to the Rainbow Scrap Challenge 2013, where you can see all sorts of wonderful ways that other quilters have been using their scraps this month. It's never too late to join the fun! The Dancing Stars pattern is available as a free download at Amy's Creative Side.

Your stars are really dancing on that black background, Julie. Very pretty...Julierose
ReplyDeleteLove your Dancing Stars. It's going to be a gorgeous quilt.
ReplyDeleteYou do have a nice collection of yellow. It gives your stars great contrast.
ReplyDeleteThe background you chose are making all your stars pop! Especially the yellow ones. Going to be a striking quilt.
ReplyDeleteFun to see more stars. So, how many stars do you think you will need for your quilt?
ReplyDeleteThe patterns calls for 98 blocks that finish at 6" each to make a throw that measures 60" x 68", no borders. I have about 70 blocks done so far.
DeleteGorgeous stars, they are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteNice to see your twinkly yellow stars. Watching the blocks appear each month has been a treat - looking forward to seeing the entire project assembled!
