After making a pillow from my father's ties for Mother's Day, I realized that there was plenty of fabric left in the ties for another pillow or two. What better reason to make one than my sister's 60th birthday. She received her gift a few days ago, so now I can share the pillow here. Happy birthday Karen!
That pillow accounted for my only fabric usage last week, 1-1/8 yards. There was no new fabric added for the week, but I got an email last night that a recent order was being shipped, so I'm expecting an addition next week.

Your dad had some snazzy ties!
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday to Karen. What a fun gift. You've done really well on the stash management this year and on getting in your stitching time every day. Since it's only midyear, you are going to have an awesome year on both fronts.
ReplyDeleteLove the pillow. Did you have to deconstruct each of the ties before making the pillow?
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! What special gifts for your mama and sister!! Very sweet....
