I wasn't sure that this month's colors of black and grey for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge would fit in with my earlier Dancing Stars blocks, especially since I have been using black for the background on my blocks. After pulling out a collection of scraps and auditioning them on the black background, I decided that all would be well as long as there was enough white mixed in with the black. Here is what I have completed so far. I am still planning to make some grey stars too.
I am linking up to the Rainbow Scrap Challenge--check it out every Saturday to see many great projects and ideas!
I have also been busy making hexagons with my black and grey scraps. I still have quite a few more to baste before I begin joining them together into stars and snowflakes.

Elegant stars and hexies! They should go with the other stars and hexies nicely.
ReplyDeleteElegant is a great descriptor of your black and white blocks and hexies. They look great.
ReplyDeleteThey do look like little snowflakes...pretty neat! Nicework--I think black/grey is hard...Julierose

ReplyDeleteYour black stars are really going to make your dancing stars quilt interesting.
ReplyDeleteYour stars are going to be lovely in the quilt with these added in. Great looking hexies too.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to say the white/gray stars were restful--but agree elegant describes them better.
