Bonus Pinwheels

There was an afternoon over the weekend with some time for me to quilt, but I didn't have enough brainpower to deal with anything complicated. It's times like that when I am grateful to have a very simple leader and ender project, especially since all the pieces are already cut.

This most recent batch of little pinwheels look like they should be for a Packers fan with all those green and gold fabrics. I've been making the pinwheels from a bin of scrappy triangle pieces that I got at our guild auction over a year ago. You can read more about this project in an earlier blog post HERE. Each pinwheel block will finish at only 2.5"!

Check out what other quilters are working on this week at Design Wall Monday at Small Quilts and Doll Quilts and at Monday Musings at Songbird Designs.

Happy quilting everyone!

  1. I thought what great fall colors, but yes my WI fans would love those colors, hehe.

  2. I reread your first post. What a terrific long-term project! It will be interesting to see how many HSTs and thus pinwheels result from these little gems. I wonder what the original owner had planned.

  3. Hi Julie! YES!! That is the first thing I thought of when I saw your picture, and I am just one of many of the Packer fans. Don't you just love when the leftovers are as cute as this?!! {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

  4. I hope my previous post came through, but in case it didn't, this is a great pinwheel project and it does remind me of Packers, but also of the UAB Blazers as they are green/gold and I'm more a college football fan than pro! Thanks for linking up with Monday Musings!
