Stitching and DeStashing--Week 46, 2019

I'm off to a slow start today, but that's okay because there really isn't much to report. Many of my quilt projects have reached the point of needing blocks joined together or final quilting to be done. That means no changes to the stash for the past week. I'm happy to continue with my usage vs. additions at zero for the year.

2019 STASH TOTALS
Used last week:                             0.0 yards
Used year to date:                      51.75 yards
Added last week:                            0.0 yards
Added year to date:                    51.75 yards
Net used year to date:                0.0 yards

I did start a new project yesterday, Alycia's Winter Quilt Along 2019, but it hasn't yet reached the point where I can count anything as used. Here's what is done so far--lots of half-square triangles, with the ones on the left waiting to be trimmed to size. They measure 6.5" after trimming; those big pieces show off the background print beautifully.

Kate's 15 Minutes to Stitch challenge at Life in Pieces has us tracking how many days each week we get in at least 15 minutes of quilting time. I did get in my 15 minutes every day, either applique stitching on the train in the morning or machine quilting in the evening, sometimes both in the same day.

15 Minute Challenge:
11/10 - 11/16           7 of 7 days
2019 Total         301 of 320 days

Check out more stash reports at quiltpaintcreate and join the 15 Minutes to Stitch challenge at Life in Pieces. I'm also linking up with Oh Scrap! at Quilting is more fun than Housework.

Happy quilting everyone!

  2. Your colors and fabrics for the winter quilt along are terrific! I love that your reds and blues are scrappy and your light is not.

  4. Love your fabric choices for the Winter Quilt Along. While reading your blog, I realized that I didn't print out page two of the instructions, I only made the red blocks! Great metrics this year!
