I'm always happy when our Rainbow Scrap Challenge color assignment for the month is turquoise and teal. I love playing with those colors, the ones that are too green to be blue and too blue to be green. Unfortunately, quilting time has been hard to find recently, so I haven't gotten very far with my scraps.
I did manage to make this month's Squared Away blocks. Fortunately, it was a very quick and easy block called Country Lanes. I had intended to make only three blocks, but kept wanting to try different color combinations and ended up with five blocks instead. The two blocks at the bottom right share the same fabrics in different layouts. I can't decide which I like better!
I am linking up with the Rainbow Scrap Challenge on Saturday and at Oh Scrap! over at Quilting is more fun than Housework on Sunday. Be sure to check out all of the wonderful projects that everyone is sharing!

I always look forward to your comments!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blocks Julie. I like so much the 2 with the mosaic fabric, so cool.
ReplyDeletePretty blocks! Those two with the mosaic fabric look camouflage!
ReplyDeleteI like all of your blocks! Isn't it fun to experiment with different fabrics and placements?!
ReplyDeleteGreat blocks. You always come up with great combos, and with these blocks it started with your inspired use of gray for background. No need to reply - I know how we’re all struggling with Blogger, and none of us are going away!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you might just have to keep going with the TEAL/TURQUOISE for an entire Country Lane quilt!!!
ReplyDeleteThe grey backgrounds are giving a nice richness to your blocks, Julie. They look great!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you made good use of your little bit of quilting time. Isn't it fun to use the same fabrics in a little different layout? Blocks can look so different.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty blocks! Hope things slow down so you can get in some more stitching time.
ReplyDeleteThey all are winners. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
