February 2018 One Monthly Goal

I thought I had my One Monthly Goal all figured out for February, but now I'm second guessing myself. My plan was for the goal to be finishing the top for my version of On Ringo Lake, Bonnie Hunter's 2017 mystery. My main design wall is covered with all the parts that are done so far, and I would love to get the top assembled and reclaim the wall for other projects.

The reason I'm hesitating? February is a short month, and I know we are going to be very busy at work. I'm not sure I will have the energy to deal with all those little pieces (I still have more flying geese and sashing units to make before I can make any more blocks.) On the other hand, I really want to see how this quilt ends up looking in my color scheme.

Okay, decision made--I'm going for it. One quilt top coming up (I hope!) I will report back at the end of the month and let you see how it turned out . I am joining the One Monthly Goal link-up for February at Elm Street Quilts. Check it out to see what others are hoping to get done this month!

  2. You and I must be paddling the same boat! February is short, and work is demanding! I am also hoping to get my ORL sewn into a flimsy. Love your version!

  3. I hope you choose to finish it. I love how different it looks in blacks and reds and greys.

  4. Your color palette worked so well. It will take a lot of stitching. Even if you don't get it all done, progress will be made. That counts for a lot too. Good luck!
