Finishing my Fiesta Log Cabin quilt top was my One Monthly Goal for the month of April. It is also one of my projects for the 2017 UFO Challenge at Patchwork Times. I am very happy to say that my goal has been reached!
I started the Fiesta Log Cabin quilt in 1998, piecing 36 Log Cabin blocks, joining them together, and adding borders. Unfortunately, I was never happy with the finished look of this quilt top. It was an awkward size (55" square) and I didn't like how the borders turned out.

ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting project to tackle! Thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal and congrats on your finish.
ReplyDeleteLove the final version you worked out! Congrats on meeting your OMG and on getting another UFO one step closer to being off the list.
ReplyDeleteIt is inspiring the way you've persevered to create this quilt top. From removing the borders, to adding another border block and considering going asymmetrical, you've created a beautiful work of art. Thank you for including the close-up photo showing the familiar pattern - well done!
