Scrappy Trips Around the World, pattern by Bonnie Hunter |
For this photo I turned two of the blocks around, moving the darkest squares to the center of the grouping. Maybe a little more interesting this way? I'm not making any decisions yet, just playing with the possibilities.
I am linking up with the Rainbow Scrap Challenge on Saturday and at Oh Scrap! over at Quilting is more fun than Housework on Sunday. I will also be linking up with Scraptastic Tuesday at Mrs. Sew and Sow. Be sure to check out all of the wonderful scrappy projects at all these places.

It's amazing the difference the change in orientation makes. I think both are interesting; good luck deciding on your layout.
ReplyDeleteThe 2nd option really shows off the variety of shading within your squares. Either way you turn it, you are going to have a GORGEOUS quilt!!
ReplyDeleteI love your red scrappy trips. My preference is the first layout, but I love order and symmetry, so that explains that. Either way, you can't go wrong!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous blocks -- I like the second layout just because.
ReplyDeleteI love your shading.
ReplyDeleteI love your scrappy trips! The second layout is really intriguing...
ReplyDeleteI really like the first one, but you just never know.
ReplyDeleteI think one of the fun things about Scrappy Trips blocks is playing with all the possible different arrangements!
ReplyDeleteYour Scrappy Trip blocks are great!
ReplyDeleteYour layout choices will get even more exciting when the reds join the other colors.
ReplyDeleteI like them both!
ReplyDeleteOh what a hard choice--I like both ways you've set them. Lovely selection of reds...hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteThe scrappy trips block is so versatile and each variation creates a different focus. Have fun selecting your setting.
ReplyDeleteI love these blocks!
ReplyDeleteSo much color! Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh...I like both layouts but I think I like the first layout more. But now that I looked again I think I like the second layout. I'm not going back to look a third time! How will you decide??? I guess I'll have to stay tuned!
ReplyDeleteI love all the differen values of red you have in those blocks! So striking! Thank you for linking up to #scraptastictuesday
