Beautiful Blues

My scrappy blue projects for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge were moving along very nicely last weekend, but they slowed to a crawl once I went back to work on Tuesday. Today would have been the perfect day to stay home and quilt, but I had to work instead. It wasn't until late in the day that I could get in some quilting time.

Besides making some more 9-patch blocks, I made my first 4 Twinkler Star blocks for the RSC 2016 Sampler. I hope to finish the other 4 blocks before next Saturday.

Twinkler Stars, RSC Sampler 2016
I have started joining the stars and snowflakes for my Scrap Hexies quilt, an RSC project that I started in 2013. I would love to get everything stitched together this year, and I also need to figure out how to fill in around the outer edges. This section will be the bottom row of the quilt.

Be sure to check out all of the wonderful scrappy projects at the Rainbow Scrap Challenge every Saturday and at Oh Scrap! over at Quilting is more fun than Housework on Sunday.

  2. Love, love your Twinklers. Am tying my hands to keep from starting them before I am done with last year's blocks.

  5. Having to work sure does interfere with quilting time. Glad you made some progress though.

  8. Your hexies are just amazing! I really like the low volume/black and white fabrics that join the rainbow ones. Such a good idea!
