Design Wall Monday 1/12/15

My design wall has had one of my Rainbow LeMoyne quilt tops hanging up, while I kept hoping that I would come up with a great idea for a border. Unfortunately, inspiration did not strike and I got tired of looking at it, so it has come down for the time being.

I have started making blocks for a new project. I am working on the pattern "True Colors" by Nancy Mahoney from her book Simple Circles and Quick Curves. I began with blue, the color for January at the Rainbow Scrap Challenge.

    For me, borders are always difficult. I think it takes time to percolate ideas...loving the new circles...hugs, Julierose

    I agree. I really love these new blocks! They are very intriguing :) Your stars are gorgeous. Would it be pretty to do a row of smaller, simpler stars around using all the colors mixed up?

    How about a grey piano key border if you actually need one at all? Love the new blocks - I'm really drawn to a bit of black in a quilt at the moment! Thanks for linking up to #scraptastictuesday

    That circle block is really striking! As are your stars. Are those paper pieced?
