As frequently happens, I had very ambitious plans for quilting over Thanksgiving weekend but didn't get nearly as much done as I had hoped. Is it just me, or does that happen to you too?
I did manage to finish the first set of placemats for Christmas. These are made using a Jinny Beyer pattern which is available free on her website here. Two more sets like these still to finish, plus one set that is not a border stripe.
I also finished joining the 10" blocks together for my Scrappy Sampler quilt. They are now all attached to the center of the quilt. All that is left to do is the inner border, then two rows of bowties as the outer border. The end is in sight!

ReplyDeleteWow, Julie! And I was proud of myself for finishing ONE BLOCK over the holiday weekend -- here you're whipping up entire sets of placemats AND nearing the end of that gorgeous quilt! Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteFabulous scrappy sampler - love it!
ReplyDeleteNice Fall colors in your sampler. Makes me want to cudle up in front of a warm fireplace on a chilly night.
ReplyDeleteOh boy I was really amazed with the placemats, then I saw the sampler! Great color and motion. My eyes traveled all over that quilt, love it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful place mats. Scrappy Sampler is looking good. Hope you can find some time to finish it up this month.
