I felt the need for a quick and easy project this weekend. I had seen lots of great zigzag or chevron quilts, so I decided to make a baby quilt. So far I have finished five of seven rows, with the two at the bottom still to assemble.
This project was just what I needed--very quick and satisfying and fun. All I have to do is make the last two rows, join them all together, then quilt and bind it. As usual, I will be linking up to Patchwork Times for Design Wall Monday. Check out all the great inspiration there.
I think I need to have a stack of "quickie" quilts to make for those "I want to sew but have no great ideas right now" times. And I am liking the chevron idea.
what a great little quilt. How big are your blocks?
ReplyDeleteIt is all flying geese, and they finish at 4" x 8". The quilt will be 40" x 56" and I am not planning to add any borders.
DeleteVery striking -- I love the colors and it is very graphic!
ReplyDeleteCool! I need to cut this one out while I remember it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a bright, cheerful and quick quilt. Love it!!
ReplyDeleteVery fun quilt. Glad you got a chance to make something so bright and colorful. Hope work calms down some so you can do a bit more stitching at home.
