Design Wall Monday 4/16/12

Progress on the Storm at Sea quilt has been slow but steady.  I got all the parts for the center of the quilt joined into bigger sections, which makes it so much easier to move them around on the design wall.

Now the units for the border are going up on the wall and then getting sewn together.  The quilt has reached the point where it is too big for my wall, so I have pulled down the sections from one end while I work on the border for the top and one side.

  5. The bits of yellow are great with the blue. Is it part of the blue fabric or did you add it into the block construction. No matter it really gives the project interest. Great work! Sandi

    1. I'm sorry to break it to you that the bits of yellow are tiny tags of paper with numbers written on them to help me keep pieces in the right order.

  8. Greetings Julie. I've become a "FOLLOWER" of your blog. Love your quilt in progress. The Storm and Sea is a great design and our color choices reminds me of a cruise I went on once. The waters were so beautiful.
    Take care.
