A couple of the ideas on my list are from books I think you would enjoy, both from the 70's, by Jan halgrimson. They both have scrap in the titles, spiralbound, & loaded with ideas along the lines you are thinking. I have my eyes on a circular clamshell, but not sure I want to commit to hand piecing for the year. Check Amazon, they're a steal!Heidihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00546043492549930952noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-150249433567484505.post-75504124688249477572015-12-08T15:55:39.644-05:002015-12-08T15:55:39.644-05:00I look forward to seeing what you chose to hand st...I look forward to seeing what you chose to hand stitch in 2016's RSC.Sheilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12527472166860525332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-150249433567484505.post-40674148883203284572015-12-08T15:03:25.276-05:002015-12-08T15:03:25.276-05:00I've been thinking of lemoyne star as a hand p...I've been thinking of lemoyne star as a hand pieced project for many years.... using inklingo. Maybe.... next year if my hexagon flowers don't appeal? I loved making the appliqué orange peels if you want an appliqué block. The hand pieced trip around the world is a great hand work project and it builds as you go. I do have a project (UFO?) that could fill your requirements: the blocks are hand pieced but you can machine piece the finished blocks together. I have posted about it here;
http://atthecornerofscrapandquilts.blogspot.ca/2014/05/i-did-too.html
Good luck with the search. ;^)
Chantalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14772079099766225814noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-150249433567484505.post-90390467132697751852015-12-05T17:58:29.100-05:002015-12-05T17:58:29.100-05:00Julie, I did a fun small quilt years ago using EPP...Julie, I did a fun small quilt years ago using EPP tumbling blocks appliquéd in a scattered fashion. I called it My Baby's Gone and Left Me, when my daughter left for college. I showed it on Throwback Thursday a while back. Just enough to sample the EPP but not tie myself down to it. Maybe you are looking for some smaller piece to do without over committing. So many project choices for the new year!PaulaB quiltshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03850498636712774853noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-150249433567484505.post-47235698008668836572015-12-05T14:45:22.886-05:002015-12-05T14:45:22.886-05:00Isn't it difficult to select a project for nex...Isn't it difficult to select a project for next year's RSC? I look and look and can't decide. I loved the circles on the black and white HST that a number of blogging folks have made. Whatever you decide, I am sure it will end up beautiful. Those hearts are pretty happy, and vintage butterflies with blanket stitch edges would still be a different type of project. scraphappyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01472985095648633397noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-150249433567484505.post-74981156571989544932015-12-05T12:12:04.672-05:002015-12-05T12:12:04.672-05:00I LOVE kathysquilts Pumpkin Seeds quilt too!
